Community Potluck with Zeina Family
The Zeina family of Syria are settled into their Queensland home and they're excited to meet the Bay Community that has shown them so much love.
All are invited to a Community Potluck Sat. April 16, 1-3 p.m. St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Hubbards.
Please join us in a meet and greet for Ziad, Wafaa, Mohammad (10), Noor (7), Ahmad (4) and Rayan (1).
(Arabic translators will be attending).

Songs of Welcome
The Bay Chorale invites the community to attend a special concert series to welcome new neighbours from Syria.
Songs of Welcome will feature music that reflects the various cultures in Nova Scotia, with themes of welcome, peace and hope for the future.
Audiences will be invited to join singers for a post-concert reception to share in conversation and a selection of international foods. A portion of proceeds will benefit The Bay Refugee Project.

A wonderfully creative fundraising event!

With only 50 tickets available for this exciting fundraiser it will sell out quickly.
Tickets are $100 each and go on sale on Friday, November 13 at Scotiabank Branches in Tantallon and Hubbards.
50 pieces of art have been donated. Over the course of the afternoon at the event, ticket numbers will be drawn. When your ticket number is called, you will have 30 seconds to pick a piece of art.
Each ticket admits two participants, but allows the bearer(s) to select one piece of art. You can view some of the artwork below, and we will also post previews of art pieces on the Bay Refugee Project Facebook page and blog.
A fundraiser you can really sink your teeth into. Sat Nov. 14, join us for an amazing evening of Mauritian food, wine and music benefiting the Bay Refugee Project.
